The ‘Introducing Web 2.0 in Your Company’ Proof of Technology (PoT) provides a hands-on experience for those needing to understand how social software can foster innovation in the business environment. Participants will gain an appreciation of how Lotus Connections software helps business people with common work objectives or professional interests to find each other and share what they know. It will also show customers how IBM® Lotus® Quickr, “the fastest way to share everyday content with teams”, makes it easier to collaborate without barriers.
Offering an integrated set of five Web 2.0 based components – Profiles, Dogear (for social bookmarking), Communities, Activities, Blogs – Lotus Connections opens new channels for productive relationships. It helps users enlarge their collaborative, knowledge-sharing networks, enables businesses to tap the collective intelligence of their people, and facilitates faster, more agile business execution. Lotus Quickr is a Web 2.0-based team collaboration offering that transforms the way everyday business content, such as documents and rich media, can be shared to enable more effective team collaboration.
This PoT is designed to demonstrate the joint capabilities of IBM Lotus Connections andvIBM Lotus Quickr, showing how sharing and searching for information can be a transparent and natural extension of the way users work everyday.
