A new IBM WebSphere Technical Conference will be organized (19-23 October 2009 in Hamburg). This conference has earned the reputation for delivering deep technical content targeted at architects, developers, integrators, business analysts, and administrators by offering lectures and hands-on labs that focus on the best practices and practical skills required to run the IT infrastructure in today’s enterprises.

A list of hot topics for this year’s conference:

Cloud Computing – Cloud is an emerging style of Information Technology infrastructure designed for rapid delivery of computing resources. Learn about IBM’s approach to Cloud, with initiatives in providing support for both public and private clouds.

Business Process Management – IBM BPM Suite can improve collaboration between people and transform business processes that are critical to success. Learn about IBM’s mature and growing portfolio of BPM products and solutions.

ILOG – The acquisition of ILOG has greatly supplemented the capabilities of the IBM Business Process Management Suite. It brings a best in breed Business Rules Management System (BRMS) and Optimization tools to the IBM product line.

Business Event Processing – If our processes can become more predictive, agile and collaborative, your business can increase our business productivity. Discover how IBM WebSphere Business Events provides reduced costs by uncovering actionable situations in real time.

WebSphere Application Server v7 – Announced in September 2008. V7 has added support for the latest standards and programming models, and contains key improvements in the areas of systems management, installation, and security. In order to balance your desire for less frequent releases while still making available the latest standards to our customers who need them, IBM has introduced Feature Packs. With Feature Packs, customers can selectively take advantage of new standards and features while maintaining a more stable internal release cycle. Feature Packs available for V7 include:a) Feature Pack for Service Component Architecture and b) Feature Pack for Web 2.0.

WebSphere sMash – This runtime and development environment supports some of today’s hottest dynamic scripting languages – PHP and Groovy – and provides an agile web application development environment that has a small footprint, is easy to modify and is fast to re-start.
